GROWING LIGHT is ontworpen als onderdeel van het afstudeeronderzoek van Tim van Dortmont. In de installatie worden lichtgevende algen op verschillende manier geschud, waardoor er betoverende lichtpatronen met wisselende intensiteiten ontstaan.

Tim van Dortmont (1996) is a Delft based designer who works across design disciplines by blending the fields of Product Design, Photography and Graphic Design to investigate alternative and more sustainable materials. Through exploring the interplay of form, function and the interaction between user and object, he aims to create tangible experiences using a combination of both analog and digital forms of media. A technical and material driven approach to design, together with hands-on way of working allows him to research and create in an experimental way.
