Maker Faire Delft 2026 was once again a great success. On Friday 8 May, the TU Delft Campus transformed into a vibrant meeting place where creativity, technology and innovation came together. More than 2000 visitors attended the festival to explore the world of makers, designers, artists, engineers and technology enthusiasts.
During the event, over 100 makers presented their projects to a broad audience. Visitors explored interactive installations, discovered robotics projects, experienced sustainable innovations and met the people behind the ideas. Across the campus, people were building, experimenting, sharing knowledge and inspiring each other.
An important part of Maker Faire Delft was the dedicated schools programme. Many students were introduced to technology, science and creativity in an accessible and hands-on way through workshops, demonstrations and direct interaction with makers.
One of the participating teachers shared the following feedback:
“On behalf of John Dewey College, I would like to sincerely thank you for the wonderful day you provided for our second-year students by immersing them in technological making. Our students were very enthusiastic about the workshops that were offered. They also found walking around the Maker Faire highly inspiring.”
Alongside the exhibitions and activities, music, food trucks and the festival atmosphere helped create an open and welcoming experience for visitors of all ages.
TU Delft Science Centre looks back with pride on this edition of Maker Faire Delft and would like to thank all makers, volunteers, partners and visitors for their contribution, energy and enthusiasm. Together, they made Maker Faire Delft another inspiring celebration of curiosity, collaboration and innovation.
