On Friday, May 9, the TU Delft campus was fully dedicated to creativity, innovation and craftsmanship during Maker Faire Delft 2025. With over 1,700 visitors, more than 200 makers, and 170 participating students, the festival of making was a great success.
Under the theme ‘Making for a Better Society’, makers from across the Netherlands and beyond presented their projects – ranging from technical installations and sustainable designs to traditional crafts and experimental art. Visitors could take part in workshops, watch live demonstrations, and speak directly with the makers behind the creations.
Local Delft initiatives such as Forze Hydrogen Racing, DUT Racing, Oma’s Collective, Makerspace Delft and the Kabeldistrict were also well represented. The event was enriched by live music, food trucks and a lively atmosphere that drew in people from all corners of Delft and beyond.
The organization looks back on a successful edition and extends its thanks to all participants, visitors, volunteers and partners who helped make the day so special. Once again, Maker Faire Delft demonstrated the power of maker culture – and how creativity and technology go hand in hand in building a better society.
